Celebrating the Formal Launch of Maitri Maternity Continuity of Care
Thursday morning, 20 November, marked the formal launch of the Maitri Maternity Continuity of Care at the Sangam Foundation Centre, a collaboration between the Women India Association of the UK, LNWH NHS Trust and the Sangam Foundation. It was a warm and lively event that brought together partners, supporters and key figures who have played an important role in shaping the project.
We were honoured to welcome Past Mayor Councillor Vourou, Mrs Doraiswamy (wife of the High Commissioner of India), Pippa Nightingale (CEO of Northwick Park Hospital), local councillors and the amazing midwife team from the Northwick Park Maternity Clinic, along with many supporters and friends.
The event highlighted the ongoing impact of the Maitri Maternity Continuity of Care at the purpose built clinic in the Sangam Foundation Centre, where more than 80 women access the service each month. The project continues to offer personalised, culturally sensitive and accessible maternity support to families in the community, creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
